Nuova Musica Italiana (1)

Il Punto is thrilled to announce a new Italian music program. The goal is to promote contemporary Italian culture and pay tribute to some excellent artists who do not have the notoriety they deserve internationally. The shows will be an opportunity for non Italians to learn about modern Italy outside the musical stereotypes it is associated with. For Italians, it will be a way to remember forgotten songs, or to discover new artists.

All the songs will be sung in Italian but will be introduced in English; the public will be provided with a biosketch of the artist in English, along with translations of the lyrics.

The evenings of Nuova Musica Italiana will be monographic. Each evening will be characterized by the music of an artist or a group, performed live by the local Italian band “Space Noodles”. The next presentation features the music of the Italian group Negrita:  Friday, December 3,…
